Become A Shareholder
The Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers Limited exists to serve the interests of Canadian sheep and wool producers. As the only wool-promotion organization in Canada owned by producers, CCWG ensures that growers remain at the heart of every decision.
By becoming a shareholder, you become a financial partner with voting rights in a cooperative dedicated to securing the highest possible returns for your wool through structured and effective marketing. Shareholders also benefit from year-round services, including access to a complete range of farm supplies such as animal care products, marking and identification, fencing, and more.
CCWG has a strong history of delivering value to its members, providing an annual dividend on share investments, averaging 7% since 1999. Joining as a shareholder means investing in both your operation and the future of Canada’s wool industry.

Wool Shipper Shareholder Reward Program (SWSLRP)
The Board of Directors has approved a reward program proposed by management for CCWG shareholders who are also wool shippers. The purpose of this reward program is to recognize shareholders/wool shippers with a rebate on their wool production for the fiscal year.
After each year-end, and based on the company's overall profit, the Board of Directors will allocate a percentage of the year's profit to an account for this program. The rebate will be given to shareholders/wool shippers in the form of a CCWG Profit Discount coupon, which can be redeemed for the purchase of products at any CCWG branch. The Profit Discount coupon will expire 3 years from the date of issue, will have no redemption value, and will not be transferable. This will be an additional bonus for shareholders/wool shippers, in addition to existing benefits such as dividends, the discount plan, etc.
The rebate calculation will be based on the net weight of the current year's wool production at a predetermined rate in cents per pound.
This coupon must be presented at the time of in-store purchases.
Wool Preparation Incentive Policy/Rebate (WPIR)
1) Currently, a premium of up to 8¢ per pound is paid on the total net weight of the fleece (all grades, including the underwool).
2) Eligibility is based on high-yielding, bright-colored, well-prepared fleeces, as well as underwool separated from the main fleeces by a newspaper divider or packed in a separate bag.
3) Shipped in tightly packed bags.
Explanation
The purpose of this policy is to reward, through a premium, producers who have taken the time and effort to present clean, well-prepared, and packaged fleece for grading and marketing. When grading the wool, our wool grader evaluates whether the producers' fleece qualifies for a premium, which ranges from 2¢ to 8¢ per pound, depending on the quality and presentation of the fleece. Inferior wool is wool that comes from the bellies, is stained, or is soiled.
